Twinkies Survive?

Since the disastrous announcement of Hostess's bankruptcy; Twinkies, Ding Dongs, and Ho Ho's have been mourned upon. Even though the company is headed down a path to death, their famous snacks may be headed towards resurrection.

On Monday, the company is headed to court to try and sell pieces of Hostess to go out of business. Some companies are interested in buying the recipes from the company and keeping the treats the same, just selling them through a different company. John Pottow, a University of Michigan law school professor says: “There’s a huge amount of goodwill with the commercial brand name. It’s quite conceivable that they can sell the name and recipe for Twinkies to a company that wants to make them.” If another company buys the snack’s recipe, the legend of the famous sponge cake may live on and continue to touch the mouths of millions in the world.
